From What I Remember

I really did not have any idea of what to expect when I started From What I Remember. First of all, I really don't like books that have a lot of different point of views, because I often feel like it makes the characters less developed. This book definitely changed that! Even though there were five different POV's, all the characters were well developed and I felt like they were very realistic. 

I feel like the authors could have easily written a very light, forgettable book based on this summary, but instead they incorporated the family lives of the main characters into the book, making it a deeper and more meaningful read.

Again, a warning: Don't start this before bed. It's very addictive.

So I've decided to take my book summaries off of Goodreads, because then I'll have more time to post reviews and not waste time on writing a summary of the book.

Anyways, I completely loved Graffiti Moon! It's one of those books that really didn't seem so interesting to me, but after hearing multiple great reviews of Graffiti Moon, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't put it down. I seriously recommend Graffiti Moon, and it is one of the best books I've read all year.It's one of those books that I'll be rereading multiple times! My advice: Don't start it before bed, or else you'll end up staying up all night to read it, like I did.

It's been a while since I've read a dystopian book, so I was really excited to read The Forsaken. I wasn't disappointed, but The Forsaken didn't quite meet all of my high expectations for it. It had a cool setting and Alenna was an interesting character, but I just didn't find that all of the relationships between the characters were as developed as they could have been, and left me wanting more. Although I didn't love The Forsaken, I still think it's worth reading, especially because of the really good twist ending. I'm definitely hoping for a sequel.

I loved Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist! I loved how it was teeming with music references, humour, and of course, the budding romance between Nick and Norah. I felt like I was with Nick and Norah as they traveled through the city of New York at night, going from one band to the next. I seriously recommend Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. I am definitely going to read it again in the future! Now all I need is for Rachel Cohn and David Levithan to write another book together!

Every Day

Everyday A wakes up in a different body, in a different life than the day before. A accepts this and it's all fine until the morning A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin's girlfriend, Rhiannon. And A realizes that Rhiannon is the person he wants to be with everyday.

The concept behind Every Day is definitely one that I've never read about before. The idea that someone switches bodies everyday is an intriguing idea that kept me interested in Every Day. I found it fascinating to watch Rhiannon struggle with the difficulties of loving a person that never looks the same day after day. I definitely recommend reading Every Day.

Looking for Alaska

 After. Nothing is ever the same.

I didn't know if it was possible for me to love John Green's writing any more. But reading Looking for Alaska proved that it's possible. I really loved how Looking for Alaska was divided into two sections-Before and After. I really liked how the book led up to something and you didn't know what that something was until you reached the After. Looking for Alaska is beautifully written and is one of the best books I've read in a long time.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is definitely a book that I am going to re-read in the future. Take that as a cue to go read it now!

The Survival Kit

I always love books that show emotional journeys, and The Survival Kit whisked me into the life of Rose and carried me through her journey to recovery, through all of the highs and lows. I felt like Rose was so easy to connect with, and it felt like I was beside her, living through the same grief that she was. I really recommend reading The Survival Kit. It was a beautiful and moving book.
